Lead Teacher - Primary Three Classroom
I grew up in Colorado and moved to Cheyenne in 2015. I worked my way through three bachelor’s degrees (Studio Art, Business Administration and Accounting), graduating from Western State Colorado University in 2012. I have a wide breadth of professional experience in restaurant management, office and human resource administration, accounting and bookkeeping, designing educational and promotional materials, real estate, ceramic art, mountain living, and motherhood. I started teaching at MSC in 2021 when my children began here and am currently working to become certified by the Authentic Institute of Montessori. I am passionate about understanding and respecting all living things. While far from fluent, I enjoy using ASL to the best of my ability with my family and classroom; I learned when I was small from my 2 deaf aunts! I love to play outside in dirt of all kinds, and believe it is our duty as humans to protect the natural world we live in. I am excited to share in children’s wonder and discoveries! If there is something they are interested in, we will learn together. The MSC community feels like home, and I am very happy to be a teacher here.

I started as an afternoon assistant then quickly realized the Montessori philosophy was my passion and was able to become a lead assistant for three years. When I came back to MSC I was a lead assistant again and got the opportunity to become a lead teacher. I got my teaching credentials from the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies. I have now had my own classroom for two years. I love the Montessori philosophy, and guiding students with it. My goals for the classroom are to create a fun, loving and joyful environment for the students to develop further in.
